Rev. Dr. Jon Robinson
For the past twenty-five years I have served in various leadership and community building capacities nationally and globally.
My current work is centered in the fight against Ecological Apartheid in service to building thriving, livable communities for marginalized and minoritized people. I spent the first twelve years of my vocational ministry as a youth pastor working with, and being formed by, young people who pushed me to think more critically about the issues impacting our lives.
These experiences shaped my leadership, teaching, and community engagement to be more prophetic in challenging systems and institutions that perpetuate oppression and dehumanization; particularly as it relates to the devastation wrought by climate injustice.
We are at a precipice moment and our action (or continued inaction) will determine whether, or not, our children and grandchildren inherit a livable, healthy, sustainable planet. Community Engagement
We build strategic partnerships with community stakeholders that promote community thriving.
From the Carter Boys & Girl's Club in the Washington Park neighborhood of Chicago's south side, or the Learning Pod we established in Partnership with Allina Health System in Minneapolis, or the national, grant-funded ecological justice project we are currently engaged in, we build coalitions that shift power dynamics and serve the most vulnerable members of our communities.
